I’m a yogi, astrology afficionado, nature enthusiast and star lover.
I've saved sea turtles from poachers in Costa Rica, cliff jumped in Tahiti, and backpacked through Europe. My curiosity has taken me all around the world. I've seen natural wonders, magnificent cultural landmarks, and experienced the kindness of strangers whose language I didn't speak.
Sometimes, curled up on a bus in a strange city where no one knew my name, I'd get homesick. I'd miss my family. My friends.
Bouts of loneliness would usually hit at night when the hustle and bustle of the city had calmed. Even if I was in a place surrounded by people, I often felt alone.
I started talking to the moon, imagining my friends and family back home looking at the same night sky.
And I'd feel better.
Because no matter who you are or where you come from -- we all share something in common -- our existence under the same sky.
Nighttime became my favorite time of day. A peaceful quiet where I could appreciate all I'd seen and done during my travels. I'd allow the peace to rush over me. A kind of meditative moment.
I wished I could take a snapshot of the sky to remember moments, and places -- the smell of the ocean, the wind in my hair, the sand beneath my feet.
For thousands of years, civilizations have looked to the stars for guidance, wisdom and to signal the passage of time. We have used the stars to tell stories, attempt to predict the future, or simply to make sense of our lives here on earth.
I created Map Your Night, so that whether you're celebrating a solo adventure or commemorating a special occasion with a loved one, you're able to capture a moment in time in your personal location. Choose anywhere in the world and any day in the past, present or future.
MapYourNight captures your
unforgettable night, forever.
